OUR INSTRUCTORS
EOIN FAIRGRIEVE:
The Country Sports Centre is owned and operated by Eoin Fairgrieve. Eoin is a former world team speycasting champion and fully qualified casting member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (A.A.P.G.A.I). With over thirty five years experience working in Atlantic salmon fishing, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in both fly fishing and fly casting and is highly regarded as a leading speycasting instructor. Eoin is also a qualified archery instructor with Archery GB and one of our APSI Clay Shooting Instructors based at the Shooting Centre.
Qualifications:
- FLY FISHING: A.A.P.G.A.I Single and Double-handed Instructor.
- ARCHERY: GB Archery Qualified Instructor.
- CLAY SHOOTING: A.P.S.I Qualified Instructor.
MALCOLM DOUGLAS:
Having pursued Atlantic salmon for more than 40 years on a number of rivers in Scotland, England, and Wales, Malcolm Douglas has gained a wealth of experience on salmon beats throughout the British Isles. Malcolm has many seasons of working as a qualified fly casting instructor on the Tweed system and his friendly and professional manner very much adds to the positive experience of learning to improve your fishing and fly casting skills. He is also a very keen game & clay shot and APSI Clay Shooting Instructor as well as one of our qualified archery instructors with Archery GB.
Qualifications:
- FLY FISHING: G.A.I.A Single and Double-handed Instructor.
- ARCHERY: GB Archery Qualified Instructor.
- CLAY SHOOTING: A.P.S.I Qualified Instructor.
David Cater:
Our highly experienced shooting instructor David Cater has a huge amount to offer all levels of clay and game shooting ability. He is qualified to instruct by BASC, Guild of Shooting Instructors and the Scottish Clay Target Association. David is also a Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust Accredited Game Shot. His qualifications have been gained over 60 years of involvement in game and clay target shooting. This lifetime involvement in the sport has given David a huge amount of pleasure and he is keen to pass on his depth of knowledge to all levels of shooting ability.
Qualifications:
- BASC Qualified Instructor.
- BASC Safe Shot Assessor & Safety Officer
- Member of the Guild of Shooting Instructors.
- Scottish Clay Target Association Instructor.
- Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust Accredited Game Shot.
