SPEYCASTING INSTRUCTION: 

At the Country Sports Centre we specialise in teaching all forms of modern speycasting techniques in a relaxed and friendly environment on the Schloss Roxburghe’s private salmon beat on the River Teviot. We offer expert instruction in short, mid and long-bellied fly lines using a range of density options for relevant applications for both UK and overseas rivers.

SINGLE-HANDED INSTRUCTION: 

Our single-handed instruction program is based at the Schloss Roxburghe's trout lochan located at the rear of the main hotel complex. This is an excellent teaching location to learn both single-handed fly fishing and also the basic rudiments of learning to fly fish. Basic casting principles to advanced distance techniques are easily covered in this positive learning environment.

HOSTED SALMON FISHING:

At the Country Sports Centre we offer hosted salmon fishing experiences on the world famous River Tweed in the Scottish Borders. With many years of collective experience of ghilling and fishing on the system, our team of professional instructors will guide and advise you during your time on the river to maximise your chance of hooking into this iconic fish.

TACKLE & WADER HIRE: 

Our tackle and wader hire service is available to visiting anglers fishing the River Tweed system. This will include an appropriate rod, line and reel kit relative to the season and/or breathable wader sets.

Cost per day for rod, line & reel kit is £20. Cost per day for waders is £20.
